This easy recipe for Italian sausages and vegetables that cooks on the griddle is ideal for busy weeknights, because in addition to being quick to prepare, it allows us to take a well-deserved time off from the dishes!
Everyone knows it, sausage plates are very fashionable right now! It’s convenient and quick. The perfect meal for weeknights when you’re in a hurry! Well, nothing very complicated, we like that! You can use any sausage you like! Whether it’s spicy sausages or fennel sausages. You can grate a little cheese once served on the plates. It’s super good and it melts on the vegetables and sausages! Yum!
2 cups (~1 small) red potato
1 small onion
1 ½ cups chopped bell peppers (2 large or 6-7 mini sweet bell peppers)
1 package (450g) of Italian sausages
6 tbsp. olive oil
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tsp. paprika
½ tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. dried parsley
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a large sheet pan with foil or parchment paper.
Prep the veggies: chop the red potatoes, onion, and peppers. Then, slice the sausage into thick pieces.
Place all the veggies and sausage on a sheet pan. Pour olive oil and all spices on top. Toss to evenly coat all the veggies and meat
Bake 15 minutes, remove from the oven and stir all the veggies around. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until vegetables are tender crisp and sausage is browned.
Be sure to taste your vegetables when they are baked, to see if they are a bit crunchy and tender to your liking
