Mini meatloaves wrapped in bacon, made with Roma mild Italian sausages, are a delicious option for your appetizers. These small meatballs are perfect for impressing your guests at festive gatherings or as tasty bites for a casual dinner.

15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
1 chopped onion
15 ml (1 tbsp) chopped garlic
8 mushrooms cut into small dice
1 pack of macinata chopped sweet Italian sausage meat from Aliments Roma of 375 g
60 ml (1/4 cup) chopped parsley
15 ml (1 tbsp) chopped thyme
12 slices of maple smoked bacon cut in half
125 ml (1/2 cup) barbecue sauce
Preheat oven to 205°C (400°F).
In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the onion, garlic and mushrooms for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
In a bowl, mix the minced meat with the herbs and mushroom preparation.
Shape 24 balls using about 30 ml (2 tbsp. ) of preparation for each of them. Coat each mini-meatloaf with half a slice of bacon.
Place the mini-loaves in the twelve cells of a muffin pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat the barbecue sauce. Serve with the meat mini-loaves.
