~1 lb. pizza dough prepared at room temperature
¼ cup olive oil, melted butter, or your favourite spicy balsamic oil
Oregano, garlic salt, salt, and pepper to taste
1 package of your favourite Roma pepperoni
1 Tbsp. of your favourite Italian spices
Some Kraft parmesan
60 mL of your favourite marinara sauce
~100 g shredded mozzarella or mild cheddar cheese
A few mushrooms, peppers, and onions
If you plan to turn your pepperoni and cheese ball into a pizza bomb, start by preparing the vegetables. Chop your ingredients and set them aside in a bowl for when you have to fill the balls. Here are the steps to prepare your Pepperoni and Cheese Pizza Bombs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin pan. Then, divide your pizza dough into 12 equal parts.
In a small bowl, mix your spices and the oil or melted butter.
Slice your Roma pepperoni into thin rounds.
Dust your hands and the counter with flour to prevent the dough from sticking during rolling.
Use a rolling pin. Then, roll one of your dough balls to form a circle about 10 to 12 centimetres in diameter. In the middle, spread out a tablespoon of your favourite marinara sauce, then add some cheese and 1 or 2 slices of Roma pepperoni.
Gently stretch out your dough, then fold it toward the centre. Pinch the dough to make sure the pepperoni and cheese ball is firmly closed. Repeat this process for all the other balls.
Once you’ve finished preparing the balls, mix the oil or melted butter mixture again with a brush.
Cover your balls with the mixture, then place them in the greased muffin pan.
Sprinkle a little parmesan over your balls and put them in the oven. Bake for about twenty minutes or until the dough starts to brown. Then, remove them from the oven and let stand for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare little bowls of marinara for everyone. Bon appétit!
Our Roma pepperoni and cheese balls can easily become pizza bombs. All you have to do is add the necessary ingredients to turn them into pizza bombs. Finely chop some onions, mushrooms, and peppers and insert a few of them into the balls while filling.
And voilà! You’re done! Your cheese balls are now pizza bombs that will make the whole neighbourhood drool!
