Spaghetti  with  Sausage  Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 4 Roma Italian sausages (mild or spicy, to your taste)
  • 1 jar of tomato sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 400 g spaghetti
  • Grated Parmesan (to taste)
  • A few fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Remove the sausage meat from the casings and shape into small meatballs with your hands.
  2. Brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, turning regularly. Alternatively, cook them in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  3. Pour the tomato sauce into a large skillet or saucepan and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  4. Cook the pasta al dente according to package instructions. Drain.
  5. Add the spaghetti to the sauce and toss well to coat.
  6. Garnish with grated Parmesan and fresh basil leaves.
